Passengers on board a Delta Air flight to Miami were left “screaming” after a Bulldog suffered a bout of explosive diarrhea.
Despite Delta being in favour of the ban - which prohibits most emotional support pets from traveling with their owners in the passenger cabin - small dogs, cats and household birds have been an exception to the rule.
One passenger, Mike Solana - who goes by the Twitter handle @micsolana - posted to their account a now-viral thread of the incident that took place.
Tweet read: ”My bf is on a plane to Miami right now and a bulldog in the row next to him just had diarrhea. Everyone freaked out, the dog owner began sobbing, and the dog escaped. Now, covered in poo, it is running around the plane. People are lifting up their legs and screaming.”
Mike went on to explain how the dog had been let out of his carrier by a passenger in the middle, who took a liking to the dog and sat it on her lap to pet, but it “exploded” all over the passenger and his bf's bookbag instead.
He added: “Correction, the dog (window) was actually next to bf (middle). Bf’s bookbag now covered in poo lmao (sorry). Journey began when girl next to bf (asile) thought dog was cute and wanted to hold him on her lap, at which point he exploded.”
