British people are ready to overcome their fears in 2023.
A new survey, commissioned by the Tottenham Experience, has shown that more than half (59%) of UK residents plan to conquer their phobias this year with acrophobia, a fear of heights, the most common at 21%, followed by a fear of spiders and a fear of going to the dentist.
A third of those surveyed said they were embarrassed by their fears and almost half (49%) said they hoped overcoming them would boost their confidence and help them stop feeling like they were missing out on important experiences.
Alice Graneek, Visitor Attractions Manager, from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s Dare Skywalk attraction, which helps guests master a head for heights by climbing 46 metres high above pitch level onto the roof, said of the survey's findings: “The start of a new year brings fresh enthusiasm for creating the ultimate bucket list of travel destinations, experience goals and memories people want to accomplish in the year ahead.
“The survey highlights that whilst activities such as climbing or sky diving top many people’s list, most people also want to conquer their biggest fears because they believe it is holding them back.”
The Tottenham Experience is open throughout January and features the Dare Skywalk and Dare Skywalk Edge. For more information or to book visit https://experience.tottenhamhotspur.com/
