A British family goes all the way to Brazil to see the dentist

The Woodmansey family travels 6,000 miles from their home in Yorkshire for a check-up in Sao Paulo as they are unable to get an appointment at his local surgery.

Stuart Woodmansey explained that it is cheaper to fly his wife Kedma and their young son Jacob to her home city in South America rather than go to a private dentist in the UK.

He told The Sun newspaper: "I can't get an appointment in our area, I've been trying for years.

"I have to go in Brazil when we're there on holiday."

Woodmansey added: "After you’ve paid for a flight — about £600 to £700 — the dentist in Brazil only charges around£50 a visit.

"It works out much cheaper than £1,000 for private treatment here."
