Research commissioned by StubHub show that 'Live Aid' concert beat the boy band and Woodstock as the most popular concert, with 21% of the British public regretting not attending the music-based charity initiative in 1985.
The General Manager at StubHub International, Estanis Martin de Nicolas said: ''The passion among British fans of live events is astounding.
''The love of live music shows no sign of letting up and fans will continue to flock to see their favourite artists, even if it means missing out on something else.''
Statistics show that three million of the remaining 79 per cent who attended the must-see gigs called in sick to work, whilst over one in ten adults in the 25-34 age bracket sacrificed seeing the birth of a child, all in order to watch their favourite band perform.
