A man dialled police from a bar to complain his wine was corked.
''These types of call tie up the emergency service lines.''
The guy - whose identity is not known - dialled 999 from a bar in Manchester, north east England, and complained to officers claiming staff wouldn't give him a refund because his wine was corked.
However, the call landed him in trouble with police chiefs who issued him with a warning for wasting police time.
Inspector Phil Spurgeon said: ''He said he was having a dispute with staff because they would not give him a refund because his wine had bits of cork in it.
''They were trying to eject him because he was being difficult.
''We did not send anyone. The man was given advice.
