A restaurant has caused controversy after making burgers topped with communion wafers and red wine sauce.
''We are just having a good time, and we hope our customer base can see that and are also having a good time.''
Kuma's Corner in Chicago has been heavily criticised for its 'Ghost' burger - which is named after a Swedish heavy metal band who wear religious attire - because red wine and wafers are used by Christians to represent Christ's blood and body during communion.
The restaurant says on its Facebook page: ''In the spirit of our undying reverence for the lord and all things holy, we give you the Ghost which we think is a fitting tribute to the supreme blasphemous activities carried out by the band itself.''
Following the criticism, a spokesman for the eatery insisted the restaurant doesn't want to offend anyone.
He told NBC: ''We are just having a good time, and we hope our customer base can see that and are also having a good time.''
