Food simulator enables people to taste internet
A virtual food simulator has been created to enable people to taste food on the internet.
''By manipulating the magnitude of current, frequency and temperature so far we have created salty, sour and bitter sensations.''
Scientists from the National University of Singapore have come up with the gadget, which is able to give off salty, sour, bitter and sweet taste sensations.
Nimesha Ranasinghe, Lead Researcher, told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: ''By manipulating the magnitude of current, frequency and temperature so far we have created salty, sour and bitter sensations.''
Video footage of the researchers' findings shows testers tasting an electrode on their computers which delivers a current to the tongue.
