A hotel guest once asked for his room to be moved outside.
''Our staff will always try their upmost to accommodate all customer requests but occasionally there are just some requests that we just can't help with.''
The guy, who was staying in Cardiff, Wales, made the bizarre request because he was keen to treat his wife to a night under the stars - but his demand is one of thousands of strange appeals made the by the Travelodge hotel chain's 16.5 million customers in the past 12 months.
Others include one guest who asked for his bath to be filled with milk so they could bathe like Ancient Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, while another in London asked which Tube train he would need to take to get to the Eiffel Tower, which is situated in France.
Travelodge Spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed said: ''Annually our hotel teams receive around 200,000 bizarre requests.
''Our staff will always try their upmost to accommodate all customer requests but occasionally there are just some requests that we just can't help with.''
What's more, one person asked for someone to watch over them as they drifted off to make sure they didn't sleepwalk, while another hotel guest asked a member of staff if he could borrow his ring because he was getting married that morning and his best man had lost his band.
