Teenager collects 14,000 pencils
A teenager is aiming to amass a record number of writing implements.
I think I already have a bigger collection than him and I will soon get the Guinness record
Tushar Lakhanpal, 15, is well on the way to the incredible feat after collecting more than 14,000 pencils of various shapes and sizes - two of which are said to have been used by Queen Elizabeth - and after getting into the Indian Limca Book of Records he is now hoping to land a spot in the Guinness Book of Records.
He said: ''According to the count I did last month, I have over 14,000 pencils. I am still collecting more pencils, so I am hoping to reach 15,000 soon.
''The record for largest collection of pencils belongs to Emilio Arenas from Uruguay. He has around 14,000 pencils. I think I already have a bigger collection than him and I will soon get the Guinness record.''
