Pub launching oyster beer

A British pub is launching a beer made from oysters.

''bracing seashore freshness''

The Pilot Inn in Swansea, Wales, will soon have Oystermouth Stout on tap in an attempt to give customers a ''bracing seashore freshness'' taste when they indulge in a pint of the beverage.

Mumbles Brewery, Rob Turner, is quoted by WalesOnline as saying: ''Anyone who has enjoyed eating an oyster will understand that they are the only food that really can evoke the taste and smell of the sea with their fresh iodine bouquet and slightly salty aftertaste.

''The local surfers will understand. We think the addition of oysters to Oystermouth Stout will add just that suggestion of bracing seashore freshness and the shell a mineral note missing in other stouts.''
