Workers fear lunch criticism

Workers fear lunch criticism

''We've long been fascinated with the presentation as well as the taste of food and this has started to make us take more of a sense of pride in our lunch time creations.''

More than a third of office workers live in fear that their colleagues judge them on their lunch.

According to a tasty study into modern UK lunching habits commissioned by family baker Warburtons, 36 per cent of people worry about their colleagues judging them based on what they bring to work to eat, and 12 per cent regard making lunch more important than brushing hair.

Psychologist Dr Christy Fergusson said: ''We've long been fascinated with the presentation as well as the taste of food and this has started to make us take more of a sense of pride in our lunch time creations.''

What's more, 25 per cent of people take to social networking sites to post pictures of their food up to four times a week and 23 per cent of UK office workers spend the same amount of time creating lunch as they do dinner.
