''The look on his face was incredible. I automatically handed it back to him; it was his ticket.''
A barmaid was tipped with a $17,500 winning lottery ticket and she was made to sign for it after trying to give it back to the male patron who presented it to her.
Aurora Kephart was asked to choose two tickets by a male patron while serving customers at Conway's Restaurant and Lounge in Oregon, America, and she couldn't believe it when she realised she had landed the huge sum and immediately handed the ticket back to him.
Speaking to The Register-Guard newspaper, she said: ''The look on his face was incredible. I automatically handed it back to him; it was his ticket.''
However, the man made the 25-year-old woman sign for the ticket so that nobody else could claim the $17,500 prize. But she felt bad about keeping the whole prize so decided to give him some of her winnings.
