A pregnant woman went into labour a month early during a karaoke performance.
Guan-yin Mai heard karaoke would have a calming effect on her unborn child, but when she was singing at the Wuhan bar in Hubei province, central China, her water broke on stage.
''I was spotted by the other people who thought it was very brave of me to come there and who encourage me to sing a song, which I did.''
The 28 year old said: ''I was spotted by the other people who thought it was very brave of me to come there and who encourage me to sing a song, which I did.''
She now believes the excitement of being on stage and the cheers from her audience caused her to go into early labour.
She was led out of the bar and into an awaiting ambulance, giving birth to a healthy baby on the way to the hospital.
Her husband Feng said to the local media: ''I warned her not to go but when she insisted I'm glad I went with her, I was able to get into the ambulance quickly and everything worked out. And now I have a wonderful child.''
