''We've heard you sleep in your car, but that is no excuse to drive it - so do not be tempted.''
A drink-driver is allowed to live in his car, despite being banned from driving it.
Lorry driver Egidijus Sakalauska feared he would not be able to keep living in his motor after he was banned from driving his Toyota for 14 months and fined £300 when he admitted drinking-driving, but remarkably magistrates said it was fine to do so as long as he wasn't tempted to get behind the wheel.
Chief magistrate Claire Robinson told him: ''We've heard you sleep in your car, but that is no excuse to drive it - so do not be tempted.''
