Cat, a mother-of-one from Washington in the US, has been obsessed with an 18 inch plastic doll - which she calls Volo - since it was given to her by a former boyfriend eight years ago.
She said on TLC's 'My Strange Addiction': ''He's my best friend, he's my soul mate. Some people meditate, some people take Xanax, I have Volo.''
Cat is so dependent on Volo she can't spend a day without him, taking the toy on shopping trips, kayaking and even dripping water on his lips to ''feed him''.
Unfortunately, the 48 year old's infatuation has caused problems in her relationship as she insists on bringing Volo to bed with her.
Despite Cat's boyfriend Dan taking her to therapy to discuss her obsession, she still refuses to give the toy up.
