Around 100,000 dead bats have fallen from the sky in Australia.
Residents in southern Queensland were shocked to see the creatures' carcasses falling down from above, and rubbish collectors have now been enlisted to clear up the mess.
According to the RSPCA, temperatures of 43C are being blamed for the mass deaths, which have occurred in at least 25 colonies.
A Bat Rescue spokesman said: ''Don't touch them, they're stressed. If they do break your skin you can get a vaccination.''
