A family of bears have been discovered underneath a house in Tennessee.
Animal rescuers were called out to a property in the US state after the creatures were found under the home by workers investigating a gas leak.
The Appalachian Bear Rescue said: "The crawl space beneath a home is not a great place for a bear den, especially if there's a gas leak.
"There was no way to know if the gas injured the bears, there was no way to safely repair the gas line while the bears were in residence, and there was no way to keep the home warm and habitable without repairing the gas line."
Rescuers were able to coax the bears and transfer them to a sanctuary. The animals remain in good health and are set to be returned to the wild.
