An artist was visited by police officers because of his gory Halloween decorations.
Steven Novak went above and beyond for his spooky decorations by using two gallons of fake blood to recreate a grisly murder scene outside of his house but they caused concern and led to the cops being called out to his home in Dallas, Texas.
However, Novak was assured that the police found his efforts to be "cool".
He told the Dallas Observer newspaper: "Neighbours told me cop cars were in front of my house a lot during the day.
"I was only home twice to receive them.
"They told me they thought it was cool and that they were only there because they were required to reply to complaints from the sergeant."
