The English soccer star, who currently plays for West Ham United in London but was raised in the North East, has ordered the 15ft-high 'mini Angel' to sit in front of his home in Essex.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''It is quite an impressive sightand he loves it.
''His dad has seen it and just thinks it is a great laugh.
''It means there is a part of Gateshead which will be forever on Andy Carroll's driveway.
''Not sure what he will do with it if he ever moves, mind.''
