Google's AI chatbot Bard has warned that the human race is unlikely to stand a chance if Earth is invaded by hostile extraterrestrials as the defences are unable to match the "sophisticated biotech" of the little green men.
Bard said: "Imagine an attack where cities could be warped into oblivion or enemy forces materialised out of thin air."
Alien invaders could also be equipped with "weapons that reshape landscapes, disintegrate targets at a molecular level or harness stellar energy for devastating blasts".
Bard added that the extraterrestrials would have no qualms about "controlling our minds through neural interfaces" and could unleash an army of bots to wreak havoc across the planet.
It said: "Swarms of self-replicating machines could dismantle anything in their path."
