Scott C Waring says he has found a perfectly round circle in the sea off the coast of the Nazca Desert in Peru and is convinced that it is linked to the underwater city.
The desert is the home of the famous Nazca Lines, which feature carvings that depict figures and animals that have been created between 500BC and 500AD.
Writing on his UFO Sightings Daily blog, Waring explained: "There is a 7km UFO sitting at the bottom of the ocean.
"It's next to a very mysterious location... Nazca, Peru famous for the giant drawings in the dirt. Those Nazca lines are said to be drawings to welcome the god.
"Back then such alien technology flying through the sky could easily be mistaken for gods. It's obvious the two are connected."
