42 per cent of people would have sex with a robot.
A new report has claimed that a staggering four in ten people would be up for sleeping with a cyborg, with men more likely to say yes as 48 per cent said they would happily share a bed with a robot.
The AI company Tidio also found that 33 per cent of women would get frisky with a sex robot.
Over 1,200 people were surveyed and 39 per cent believed that they were capable of having a romantic relationship with an AI.
Dr. David Levy, founder of the International Congress on Love and Sex with Robots, has predicted that robots will strike up a romance with humans once they are given the technology to speak and listen like people.
He said: "There are people who have feelings of love for their sex dolls so I think the potential is there for a large amount of humans to fall in love with sex robots but the technology isn't there yet.
"I'm pretty much convinced that by 2050 there will be software that can carry on conversation that will be as good as one can have with a human."
