The bash at the Fleece Inn, Worcestershire, is said to set the record for the most Nigels in one place.
The boozer's landlord Nigel Smith, 56, said: ''I've always felt that the name's much maligned - people would say to me when I was young 'Nigel, that's got to be a joke name hasn't it?'
''So it was really just to get a few Nigels together in the same room, to share Nigel stories and celebrate our Nigelness - that was the original intention.''
The idea came about after Mr. Smith cam across data from the Office for National Statistics which claimed there had been no babies born with the moniker in 2016.
Those who proved their name with ID where given a free pint and a Nigel badge for taking part.
