Man kisses wife for first time in four years

A man has been able to kiss his wife for the first time in four years after being cured on a horrifying condition.

''Once I was at my parents' house for dinner and before the spoon even got to my mouth I was on the floor in agony.''

Mark Steadman had Teflon inserted into his skull after suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia, which affects just 12 out of 100,000 people, and meant he was left in agony any time someone touched his face due to a squashed nerve.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''I can't say how wonderful it is to kiss Louise and my kids again.

''The disease destroyed my life, the pain is so debilitating you can't do anything.

''Once I was at my parents' house for dinner and before the spoon even got to my mouth I was on the floor in agony.''

The 38-year-old man had up to 250 attacks a day and admits the pain was sometimes so much he dropped to his knees in agony.

Nearly a third of sufferers of the condition resort to suicide.
