It must make things awkward when a girl band splits and then some members are a lot more successful than others. Step forward Victoria Beckham. She apparently is running chances for the Spice Girls to do things again. Rumour has it that it was Victoria’s fault that the girls didn’t get back on the stage and reunite for the Queen’s Diamond jubilee concert in London earlier this month – there had been plans for the girls to do the concert, but Victoria said no, and they couldn’t do it without her. The other girls had apparently been quite keen – but Victoria had her designing of clothes to be getting on with. And now, it seems that Victoria has put a stop to a documentary being made as she won’t take part in it. The plan for the documentary is a warts and all look at the rise of the Spice Girls in the 90s and their thoughts on the whole thing. They want interviews with the girls now – and all the girls have in principle agreed, except Victoria, and the producers won’t make the documentary unless Victoria agrees. A source said: "With worldwide sales of over 75 million, they defined a generation. But their full story has never been told. Producers want to spend time getting to know each of the girls and let viewers feel they’ve got the real insight into their lives." Mel B, Mel C, Geri, Emma and Victoria actually do have a west end musical being done about them, which opens up in London in December. It is called Viva Forever. The producers wanted to make the documentary to coincide with the start of the show. Mel C has tried to say that they girls are all still friends though -well, apart from Mel B who now lives in Australia and can’t see everyone so often. Mel C said: "The four of us without Melanie B all saw each other in January. I saw Geri yesterday and Emma last week. It's hard to get all five of us at one particular time, but I see all of the girls." She didn’t say that it’s pleasant when she sees them though did she?!
