Steven Spielberg paid for Dakota Fanning to go to Las Vegas for her 21st birthday. The filmmaker fulfilled a promise he made to the actress when they worked on 2005 movie 'The War of the Worlds' and footed the bill for the vacation she took with her family last weekend. A source said: "Steven Spielberg had promised Dakota he'd pay for her trip to Vegas for her 21st birthday! It was something he promised when they filmed 'War of the Worlds'. Apparently they've kept in touch and he followed through with his promise." During the weekend visit with her family, the 'Runaways' star went to watch 'America's Got Talent' winner Terry Fator's show at The Mirage, 'The VOICE of Entertainment' because she had been a big fan of the ventriloquist when he appeared on series two of the talent show.
