The Force was strong in London last night for the European premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Descending from a galaxy far, far away to Leicester Square were the stars of the sci-fi blockbuster who came to celebrate the return of the biggest movie franchise of all time. Returning original trilogy members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker made fans’ dreams come true by posing for selfies and signing autographs making their lengthy wait for their arrival worthwhile. British newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley couldn’t contain their excitement at being back in their hometown to make the release of the movie and posed for countless snaps with the lightsaber wielding fans. It wasn’t just the human stars who stole the show as droids BB-8, C3-PO and R2-D2 took to the red carpet to make the night even more memorable. Anyone thinking of causing trouble were made to think twice as Kylo Ren and the First Order as well as Darth Vader and a squad of Stormtroopers were on hand to use the power of The Dark Side.
