The aftermath of the Brand Perry divorce is going to linger and linger. Stories are now coming out as to how the couple spent the days following the filing of the divorce. We all know they certainly weren’t together anyway. Russell Brand was in London, where it is reported he will now move back to following the split. He definitely didn’t sit in and cry at midnight on New Year’s Eve. He attended a dinner at the Savoy Hotel in London. A guest also there wished him a happy new year, and apparently Russell’s reply was "Here's hoping it gets happier," Poor Russell. Let’s just hope he keeps on the straight and narrow though hey. At the same time as that was happening, we hear that Katy Perry was also not sitting in on her own and crying at midnight. She was spotted partying, and with a Russell Brand look-a-like. A source said: "One wouldn't have ever even known that her husband had just filed for divorce. At one point, she was talking to a guy with long hair down to his shoulders in the hallway. They were talking for a while. She was smiling and leaning up against the wall." Maybe she’d had a few too many to drink and thought it actually was Russell? Well, one thing the couple certainly won’t get is to get away from each other. Even if they physically aren’t together, they only have to switch on the TV or the radio to hear or see the other and be reminded of their 14 month marriage. Katy has just released her latest perfume so she has lots of advertising around, and Russell is about to do the rounds promoting his new film Rock of Ages. Despite some people claiming that their marriage was doomed from the start, we’re still holding out a little bit of hope that they actually might get back together.
