British guitarist Noel Gallagher, has said that he hopes Simon Cowell DOESN’T give him a million pounds. Say WHAT? Apparently Simon offered the former Oasis band member the chance to be a judge on Xfactor USA. But, the cocky singer turned it down. We can imagine that Simon makes pretty generous financial deals with his judges, but what ever he was offering Noel, it wasn’t enough. Naming his price, the Oasis star said ‘It's about six months' work, innit? I reckon it would have to be a million pounds after tax.’ The 44-year-old, who performed with Coldplay at the Brits last week, added: ‘If [Simon Cowell] puts a million pounds in my bank, I’m in’ ‘I say that tongue-in-cheek,’ he said. ‘I don't really want to do it. But a million pounds for six months' work? That's good money if you can get it. Noel must seriously be one of the very few people who DOESN'T want a million pounds in their bank account. Despite appearing more in the news for the fallouts he has with brother Noel is famous for being a very accomplished singer and songwriter, and as he’s used to performing to sell out crowds at huge stadiums, probably would have actually mad e a good mentor to those seeking fame on the show. Not content with turning down one of the most powerful men in music, the guitarist took a pop at some celebrity chefs. ‘I don’t cook, but that’s not the problem: I can’t handle Jamie Oliver’s worthiness and I can’t handle Gordon Ramsay’s attitude – if you make a bad omelette, it’s like the end of the world. Who gives a f***? Ok Noel, we get it, you’re far too rock n roll for omlettes Since leaving Oasis, Noel has formed a new band “noel Gallagher’s high flying birds” and brought out album. For those who’ve ignored the sibling rivalry and like a bit of Noel, he is working on a new album which is a collaborative effort with psychedelic dance duo Amorphous Androgynous. He’s also said that he’d love to resurrect the radio show he used to present with Russell Brand, BEFORE Brand was banned by the BBC. Somehow we can’t see that happening any time soon.
