It’s been one of those weeks for Adele, with everyone looking at her weight. It all started off because of Karl Lagerfeld – the outspoken fashion designer from Chanel. He described Adele as being too fat and it caused an uproar. Lots of Adele’s fans jumped to defend her and then Adele herself even defended her body. Then, to continue the madness, Karl Lagerfeld then apologised for saying it in the first place. He said: "I'd like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out it changes the meaning of the thought. Adele is my favourite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos 10 years ago and know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl." Well there he is back tracking. Adele is 23, and will even admit herself that she’s not skinny. However, she is plump and proud. Before his apology, she said: “I'd lose weight if I was an actress and had to play a role where you're supposed to be 40 pounds lighter, but weight has nothing to do with my career. The industry knew if anyone dared say 'lose weight', they wouldn't be working with me. I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that." Well, she told him didn’t she! Adele is making her comeback at the Grammy’s this weekend, where she is nominated in 6 categories. It will be her first performance since all her throat surgery and cancellations of gigs.
