Well, some would say it’s been a long time coming, but after 14 years together Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have confirmed that their relationship is over. There have been rumours for a good while that the pair were going to go their separate ways, but they kept denying it, until now. Their publicist has released a statement which says: "Johnny and Vanessa have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children.” So, due to that, we haven’t yet heard anything from the couple themselves. They have been trying to say that everything is fine ever since they moved their family from France to Los Angeles, but it was clear t all that it was not. They have both looked miserable and have not walked down the red carpet together for a long time - in fact it was 2010 when they last attended a public event together. Whenever they have been spotted out and about, it has always been separately. This didn’t stop Johnny Depp trying to deny the rumours though. Only a couple of months ago he said: "The rumours are not true. They are absolutely not true...No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite. I can’t say enough about it not being over." Now we’ll never believe a thing he says again. Johnny and Vanessa have 2 children – 13 year old Lily Rose and 9 year old Jack. They had got together in 1998 after meeting in Paris whilst Johnny was filming for the Roman Polanski film The Ninth Gate. They have been one of Hollywood’s more loved up looking couples over the years so the news really is a shame. Another one bites the dust!
