Dougie Poynter and Ellie Goulding were spotted hanging out at the GQ Men of the Year Awards as they chatted long after everyone else had left. Dougie Poynter and Ellie Goulding were spotted leaving the GQ Men of the Year Awards together. The 28-year-old bassist and the 'Burn' singer, 29, broke up in March this year after having dated for two years, but fuelled speculation they may have reconciled as they were seen leaving the ceremony together after most of the guests had already called it a night. A source told The Sun Online: "Ellie and Dougie were hanging out in the ceremony area after it had finished and most people had left. Dougie was being very attentive and lent in to hug his ex and kiss her on the cheek before they headed towards the exit together. They walked separately but were very friendly and amicable with each other." The pair hung out together at the awards show on Tuesday (06.09.16) night, which was held at the Tate Modern in London. Before meeting up with each other, the 'Love Is Easy' musician was spotted having a laugh with Zara Martin and Sai Bennett, while Ellie chatted to her close friend Calvin Harris. The news of the pair spending time together comes after Ellie previously stated she felt their relationship was "unfinished" and hinted that she was hopeful that they could work things out. She said: "I hope so. We have something I know is special and I think other people see it - my friends see it; my family see it ... But I think some things are just kind of unfinished, an unfinished story. I hope so - he's a real gem and he's doing so well and he's keeping busy, as am I. I hope so, he's a great guy." And Dougie seemed to be on the same page when he previously said Ellie is "amazing" and that it is "hard" being without her. He said: "We love each other very much. We are the best of friends. We hung out at Coachella, like all day, with her friends and my friends. It was really, really cool. Everything is totally fine. It's just both being all over the place. Like I said, we still get on really well. She's one of the most amazing people I've ever met. But just right now, it's hard. I'm single now."
