Chris Martin (BP vid) Here is a very polite Chris Martin from Coldplay. Clip ? morning. How you doing? He was heading into the BBC for a radio interview. He did seem a bit stressed, and no wonder. The band?s 5th album has just been released and Chris has admitted recently that he feels ''suicidal'' when Coldplay release a new album because he panics that fans may not like their new material as much as his earlier work. I mean suicidal?s a bit much isn?t it... it?s only music. But we do know that he is a very serious person and is very serious about his work, which is why we were a little surprised to hear him confess that Coldplay have one their fair share of partying and have experimented with alcohol and drugs. He said: "Success and fame, alcohol and drugs. We've been through all of those things. They're just pitfalls, and that comes from a lot of travelling and a lot of down time." He also talked about his wife Gwyneth Paltrow and told how he enjoys going home to an Oscar winner. He also did confuse us a bit though when talking about his family. He said: "It's not all bad. As you get older, you have kids, but there is also a lot more sadness. Our music is reflecting that." So he?s suicidal about his new music and feels sadness as he gets older. He sounds like a right barrel of laughs!
