Taylor Alison Swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on December the 13th 1989. She is an American Country Pop singer-songwriter, musician and actress. Growing up Taylor loved to write poetry and performing children’s theatre. When she was twelve years old she started to play guitar and write her own music.
Taylor is the youngest person to ever be hired by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house. At the age of 16 she was performing at the Bluebird cafe in Nashville, Tennessee when she was spotted by Scott Borchetta.
He offered her a place on his new record label Big Machines and in 2006 Taylor released her first self-titled album. Her debut single Time McGraw and her album went multi-platinum and as if overnight she became a huge success.
In 2008, she released her second album Fearless and started her first full length world tour. She earned four Grammy’s for her album Fearless including Album of the Year. Her third album Speak Now was released in 2010, selling over a million copies in its first week.
In 2012 she released her fourth studio album Red which sold over 1.2 million copies in its first week. She has been listed in 2012 as the Fastest Selling Digital Album by a Female Artist for album Speak Now and she also received the title for Most Simultaneous U.S Hot 100 Hits by a Female Artist.
