Jason Derülo
Jason Derülo officially became my most requested song over the festive period (despite the fact that only ONE DJ actually played it) and now that I’ve heard his new single, In My Head, I’m actually even more in love with him.
Whilst the video isn’t exactly the best I’ve ever seen… what with the first five seconds sampling his last release, Whatcha Say and the ending making the entire video just a dream - the single is another great offering, only adding to my claim that he will be THE star of 2010.
With some rather awesome moves and lots of saucy hip-wiggling in the video, it’s a perfect to way skive for a couple of minutes this afternoon - after all, my optician did tell me to give me eyes a break from work every so often.
Once again produced by Jason Derülo’s mentor J.R. Rotem, ‘In My Head’ places far more emphasis on Derülo’s soaring vocal talents, with his naturally soulful tones building a melody and a hook even more insistent than the instantly addictive ‘Whatcha Say’.
If his last single made Jason Derülo one of the world’s hottest new stars, ‘In My Head’ proves that he can keep the hits coming.
