Stephen Amell has denied rumours that he has been in talks for a Justice League movie.

Rumours started after an interview with Fandango seemed to suggest that Amell had had discussions with Warner Bros about the character of Oliver Queen possibly moving to the big screen.

However, it seems that there have been no talks between Amell and the studio.

Taking to Twitter, Amell put everything straight: "At no point, have I had 'studio level' discussions about any feature films at Warner Bros.

"In this particular instance, when I read articles that take a pretty straightforward answer and slap a title on it that has little to no correlation to what I've actually said, it makes it seem as though I'm disrespecting my current position. Which is bulls**t (sic)."

There is plenty of Justice League talk floating around at the moment with the introduction of Batman and Wonder Woman into the Superman franchise.

Both characters are set to appear in Batman vs Superman - a movie that has now been pushed back to 2016.

As for Amell, he will continue to take on the role of Oliver Queen in the hit TV show Arrow.

Amell went on to comment on the show during his Twitter statement: "We're making a kick ass show. We will continue to make a kick ass show.

"And I will continue to interact and provide interesting content for our fans. Because I love our fans."
