We haven't seen Warren Beatty direct a movie in nearly twenty years but he is set to return to the director's chair with Rules Don't Apply.

Rules Don't Apply

As well as being in the director's chair for the film, Beatty has also penned the screenplay and takes on the role of Howard Hughes in the comedy romance.

The brand new trailer for the film has arrived and we have it for you to take a look at:

Rule Don't Apply brings together a fantastic ensemble cast as Alec Baldwin, Annette Bening, Haley Bennett, Candice Bergen, Matthew Broderick, Dabney Coleman, Lily Collins, Steve Coogan, Alden Ehrenreich, Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris, Megan Hilty, Oliver Platt and Martin Sheen are all on board.

We really have had some great ensemble cast lists this year but Rule Don't Apply really is up there as having one of the most exciting and talented line-ups. I am already excited to see them all in action.

It's Hollywood, 1958. Small town beauty queen and devout Baptist virgin Marla Mabrey (Collins), under contract to the infamous Howard Hughes (Beatty), arrives in Los Angeles. At the airport, she meets her driver Frank Forbes (Ehrenreich), who is engaged to be married to his 7th-grade sweetheart and is a deeply religious Methodist.

Their instant attraction not only puts their religious convictions to the test, but also defies Hughes' #1 rule: no employee is allowed to have any relationship whatsoever with a contract actress.

Hughes' behaviour intersects with Marla and Frank in very separate and unexpected ways, and as they are drawn deeper into his bizarre world, their values are challenged and their lives are changed.

Rules Don't Apply is released soon.
