Pascal - known for portraying Oberyn Martell in the fantasy TV series - has joined the cast of the British action/comedy movie which follows the 2015 original film that grossed an impressive $415 million for Fox at the box office.

Pascal is believed to be playing Jack Daniels but not much else is known about the character.

The original 2015 film starred Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Sir Michael Caine and 26-year old Welsh actor Taron Egerton and followed the secret spy society battle to take down a billionaire adversary played by Samuel L. Jackson.

Jackson won't be returning for the sequel and it was thought Firth's character Harry Hart had met a grisly end, but Egerton hinted he could be returning when he wrote on Twitter on Thursday (08.04.16): "A message for an old friend #kingsman" alongside an image of a note that read "reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. (sic)"

Egerton will reprise his role of troubled youth-turned-special agent Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin, while Halle Berry and Julianne Moore have also joined the sequel.

Following the death of Pascal's 'Game of thrones' character he went on to play Javier Peña in the Netflix series 'Narcos', about the real life story of the rise and fall of Colombian drug baron Pablo Escobar.

The actor will be seen next in 'The Great Wall', which is currently in post-production and follows the mystery around the construction of the ancient world wonder that lies in China and also stars Matt Damon, Willem Defoe and Andy Lau.
