Kevin Feige has played down talk of an announcement linking Vin Diesel to a Marvel film.

Diesel revealed earlier this month that he was having a meeting with the studio to discuss possible projects.

Whilst at Comic Con over the weekend promoting Riddick, the actor said an announcement from Marvel would be made at the end of the month.

But Feige insists that there nothing to announce,

Speaking to Huffington Post, Feige said: "No. It's so far ahead it may not even exist. So, there's nothing to announce.

"But, I love Vin and he's an amazing personality. Look how much attention he's gotten for a meeting. He's incredibly shrewd. He's got a Riddick movie that I can't wait to see.

"And the Fast and Furious franchise, in addition to Vin, is a franchise I admire a lot for turning the sixth and next year the seventh into the biggest and most popular one. As far as a piece of it, could someday we do a Luke Cage: Hero for Hire in that kind of vein? Totally."

We are going to be seeing plenty of Marvel projects hit the big screen in the next year as Thor: The Dark World. Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy are all set for release.

Joss Whedon was also in San Diego over the weekend to talk about Avengers 2, which is due for release in the summer of 2015.
