We are going to see a very different Hawkeye in Avengers: Age of Ultron, according to Joss Whedon.

Jeremy Renner openly criticised his role in Avengers Assemble after the movie was released, claiming that it wasn't the Hawkeye he has signed on to play.

It sees that Whedon was listening as we are going to see a more developed character second time around - exciting stuff!

Speaking to Screenrant at Comic Con Whedon said: "It’s very much a global Avengers film. A lot of the movie has to do with their place not just in America, but the world.

"Part of the fun for me, definitely this time around, is writing Hawkeye. He did get possessed pretty early by a bad guy and had to walk around all scowly for most of the movie so now it’s nice to actually have the character there and see him interact with the other guys."

It was revealed at Comic Con that the second Avengers movie would be called Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The movie may not be hitting the big screen until the spring of 2015, but it is already one of the most talked about and anticipated films.

The core cast of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner are all expected to reprise their roles.
