Trevorrow has taken over the director's chair of the popular franchise for the first time as Jurassic World is set to hit the big screen this week.

Dallas Howard takes on the role of Claire in the highly anticipated film as she teams up with the filmmaker for the first time. And she admits that she liked the way Trevorrow worked.

Speaking to The Telegraph, the actress said: "Whereas with Colin, he had so thoughtfully planned out every single moment of this movie, and pre-animated every sequence in which there were dinosaurs, so we all knew our role in those scenes and what our characters were seeing.

"And I didn't have those insecure moments on set where you think, 'Is this too big, is this too small?' Because he was so clear with his vision."

Jurassic World is the fourth film in the franchise and sees Dallas Howard star alongside Chris Pratt, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson, and Omar Sy. The movie is set twenty years after the events of the first film and John Hammond's vision of a dinosaur theme park have been realised.

Jurassic World is already one of the most anticipated and talked about movies of 2015 - and it looks set to be one of the biggest when it finally hits the big screen at the end of the week.

Whether it will follow in the footsteps of Fast & Furious & and Avengers: Age of Ultron to break $1 billion at the global box office, I guess we are going to have to wait and see.

While Dallas Howard is no stranger to the blockbuster with Terminator Salvation and The Twilight movies under her belt, Jurassic World is set to be one of the biggest movies of her career to date.

Jurassic World is released 11th June.
