Ben Affleck is set to return to the director's chair with a new political thriller.
The movie is set to be based around a group of mercenaries employed to kill a warlord who has been victimizing his own people.
Affleck will direct and star in the film, while Will Staples has been brought in to pen the screenplay.
This will be the first directorial outing for Affleck since he enjoyed box office, critical and Oscar success with Argo earlier this year: the movie went on to scoop Best Picture.
According to Deadline, Matt Damon and Jennifer Todd are on board to produce the film.
Live By Night is another film that Affleck is set to direct and star in as he adapts another Dennis Lehane novel.
Affleck made his directorial debut with an adaptation of Lehane's book Gone Baby Gone - a movie that immediately but him on the directing map.
Affleck is currently filming Gone Girl, a movie that sees him team up with Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris and director David Fincher.
He is also set to take over the role of Bruce Wayne in Superman vs Batman - the sequel to Man of Steel.
