All By My Side is set to be one of the biopic movies to watch out for as Andre Benjamin is set to take on the role of Jimi Hendrix.
Directed by John Ridley, the movie is set to follow Hendrix's pre-fame years as he is trying to make his breakthrough - and a first image from the movie has been released.
All By My Side is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival at the beginning of September; and it is one of the most talked about films of the festival already.
Ridley has penned the screenplay as well as being in the director's chair; this is his first feature film since Cold Around the Heart back in 1997.
Burn Gorman, Hayley Atwell, Imogen Poots and Adrian Lester will all join Benjamin on the cast list
An official synopsis for the film has also been released: "Jimmy James, an unknown backup guitarist, left New York City for London, England in 1966. A year later he returned - as Jimi Hendrix.
"All Is By My Side brings authenticity and poignancy to the story of the man behind the legend, and of the people who loved and inspired him."
