Steven Spielberg has revealed that a second Tintin script has already been written.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, a collaboration between Spielberg and Peter Jackson, has hit the big screen this week.
And while the success of the first film is unknown it sees that there are plans to get work on a second movie underway.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter the filmmaker said: "[Sony and Paramount] were willing to do one movie with us and then give us the financial wherewithal to develop a script, do all the visual storyboards and get it really in launch position.
"So we can launch pretty quickly on a second movie. The script is already written."
Spielberg has directed this first film as Herge's creations have been brought to life on the big screen using motion capture.
Jackson is serving as producer on the movie - but it had been rumoured that he would helm a second movie.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is out now.
