Bradley Cooper has revealed that it was a tough decision to go ahead with The Hangover Part II.
The actor reunites with Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha two years after the first movie was a critical and commercial smash.
And while Todd Philips was back behind the camera Cooper admits that whether to go ahead or not with the film was a tough decision.
Speaking to The Guardian the actor said: "This was not a knee-jerk reaction. We met many times to discuss the script. And it was the hardest movie I've ever done.
"It was like Apocalypse Now: The Comedy. They could make a documentary - like [Apocalypse Now making-of] Hearts of Darkness by [Francis Ford] Coppola's wife - about it."
Cooper touched on his character Phil adding: "That guy is so different from me. I'm always amazed by it, actually. When I look at that character on screen, I don't see me at all."
The Hangover made $467 million at the global box office when it was released back in the summer of 2009 - not bad for a movie mad for $35 million.
The Hangover Part II is released 27th May.
