Andrea Riseborough has described her EE Rising Star Award 2013 nomination as 'phenomenal'.
Riseborough is one of two British actresses on the list and has been recognised for her recent work in the likes of Brighton Rock and Shadow Dancer.
Speaking about her nomination Riseborough said: "To even be counted amongst this, and the last seven years' rising star nominees feels utterly phenomenal!
"BAFTA nurtures new talent throughout the international film community so I am so very grateful to be given this fantastic opportunity, and look forward to us celebrating the kind recognition together."
The British actress has joined a list that is dominated by women this year and will do battle with Elizabeth Olsen, Suraj Sharma, Juno temple and Alicia Vikander.
And we are going to be seeing plenty of Riseborough over the next few months as she will star alongside James McAvoy and Mark Strong in Welcome To The Punch.
She has also completed work on Hidden and will be stepping into the blockbuster with Tom Cruise as Oblivion hits the big screen this April.
The winner will be announced at the EE British Academy Film Awards ceremony on Sunday 10 February 2013
