Nightcrawler

X-Men: Apocalypse is already one of the 2016 movies that I CANNOT wait to see and it looks set to be one of the biggest movies of next year.

Filming is already underway on X-Men: Apocalypse as Bryan Singer returns to the director's chair following on from the huge success of X-Men: Days of Future Past last year.

Kodi Smit-McPhee is one of the brand new faces on the cast list as he takes over the role of Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler for the very first time. And we have got our first look at him in these two great new images.

Smit-McPhee is not the only new faces to watch out for as Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Alexandra Shipp are on board as young Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm. Oscar Isaac is also set to take on the role of Apocalypse, while Olivia Munn has been cast as Psylocke.

James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult will be reprising the roles of Charles Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, and Beast. Rose Byrne is also back as Moira MacTaggert - it will be the first time we have seen this character since X-Men: First Class.

It has also been rumoured that we will see Hugh Jackman return as Wolverine - he has been in every single X-Men movie so far and it would be a shame to buck the trend. It has also been suggested that we may get our first glimpse of Channing Tatum as Gambit before he goes off to do a solo movie.

Singer returned to the X-Men franchise for the first time since X2 last year when he helmed Days of Future Past. Days of Future Past went on to be the most successful X-Men movie so far as it was both a critical hit and a commercial smash.

The movie grossed over $748 million at the global box office and was the sixth highest grossing movie of the year. X-Men: Apocalypse looks set to enjoy the same success when it hits the big screen in the spring of next year.

If you love your comic book movies you are in for a treat next year as there are a whole host of them coming there way. However, there are few that I am looking forward to most than X-Men: Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse is released in 2016.
