Where many succeed in fashion others fail, even celebrities. Strike that, especially celebrities. With so many options available to them it means the stars are more likely to come out in one monstrosity once in a while.
Step forward Paris Hilton. Surely someone with all that money can find a dress that doesn't look like a splattered apron. The yellow is not bright enough to be on trend and there is just too much detail going on, the big black patches look like big cigarette burns.
She accessorised with gold and black shoes but against that shade of yellow the gold just doesn't work. We like the stack of tribal style bangles too but they would work better with a simpler, less tacky dress.
The lesson here Paris is, 'Detail on the dress? Then accessorise less!'
Managing to look even worse than Paris is ex Sugababes and Celebrity Big Brother star Mutya Buena.
Mutya is not exactly known for her great time but this look really takes the biscuit. The skirt looks cheap and tacky and is way too short to be out in public. She has at least remembered the rule, 'cleavage or legs but never both' but the top she has chosen to cover her cleavage is too high necked and makes her look much bigger on top. A simple scoop neck would have balanced the look better.
She has accessorised with giant chav hoops and plastic looking shoes giving a real Market Stall effect to the look which we do not approve of.
Forget the Big Brother house Mutya needs to be locked in fashion rehab for a few weeks.
