Teri Hatcher at The Screen Actors Guild Awards
We're now in the midst of awards season, and for some that means focusing on winning a prized gong, while for others it's just an excuse to get it spectacularly wrong in the style stakes.
The Golden Globes proved a fashionably feast for the eyes, with only a few exceptions- Renee Zellweger, we're talking to you, while the Critics Choice Awards was a bit of a hit and miss in terms of stylish celebs.
Last night however, theHollywood elite came out in force, in a variety of colourful and in some cases stylish dresses, while others seriously needed to learn that less is often more.
Ugly Betty star America Ferrera had been getting most of her fashion choices right of late, until she turned up last night in a beige gown, complete with black netting, slung across various parts of her dress.
The colour was just boring and the shape did nothing for her figure, and as for the bizarre added netted corsage- it was an unnecessary add on, which just made it even more horrendous.
Teri Hatcher too, who we normally love for her fab style seriously got it wrong last night, with her homage to an over-the-top bridal dress, with extra added frills.
She seemed to think she was getting married, sporting a truly awful asymmetric, origami white dress that made her look like a giant, when stood next to her co-star Eva Longoria.
Looking like a deranged swan Teri, is not impressive or stylish and if you repeat your style crime at the Oscars next month, we're seriously going to have to rethink your fashion status!
Amy Adams also deserves a mention for her frilly plum nightmare, which seemed to make the petite star look swamped in massive amounts of fabric. She did however have nice hair and nails, so she at least gets a thumbs up for that.
Lastly, we have to give an unstylish nod to Mickey Rourke, who seemed to think that a shiny silver suit and retro sunglasses would prove a good look. Oh Dear God...
