Isla Fisher In Confessions Of A Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic star Isla Fisher and stylist Patricia Field have spoken about the inspiration behind the film's fashion.

Sex and the City stylist Patricia explained that the costumes were made to reflect the fashion-forward atmosphere of New York. Patricia knows her stuff when it comes to fashion in films, she styled The Devil Wears Prada as well as Sex and the City The Movie. When it came to creating outfits for Isla's character, Rebecca Bloomwood she could be as unique as she wanted.

Director P.J. Hogan explained to MTV.com: "Rebecca has an original style. She doesn't dress like anybody else."

Patricia adds: "It's just a little eclectic mix of something cute, something designer. It was an opportunity for me to create a different look for people to see that they haven't really seen before. It's fashion-forward but an exaggerated for this extreme character who can't stop shopping."

Isla was delighted to be working with a stylist held in such high esteem. She said: "I wanted Becky to be adventurous and bright and colourful but at the same time high fashion. It was so much fun creating her with Patricia Field. She's such an amazing designer and she has such a unique vision."

We can't wait to see the film even more now, and look forward to trying out Rebecca's extreme style!
